The 3rd European-American Solar Deployment Conference provided a
platform for leading experts from science, industry and government agencies
to discuss current PV technologies, certification and bankability issues, as
well as financing and regulatory concerns. It further offered an opportunity to update the discussions on technical, economic, and political hurdles to rapid and widespread PV deployment in the US. The event was co-organized by the East Bavarian Institute for Technology Transfer (OTTI e.V.) and the German American Chamber of Commerce South (GACC South).
Participants heard from developers of new PV concepts and from system integrators who implement these concepts to drive innovation and cost reduction. Due to different levels of PV deployment between Europe and the US, the transatlantic conference shared the European experience and offered guidance on a possible acceleration of PV deployment here in the US. At the same time, it emphasized the distinctive aspects of the North American markets to ensure that the best solutions could be found in both regions.
Don´t miss the impressions of these days full of experience.
Workshop "Requirements for Bankable PV Modules and Power Plants"
The workshop "Requirements for Bankable PV modules and power plants" will take place on February 25th, 2013 in the Metro Atlanta Chamber.

Technical Tour, February 27th, 2013
A technical tour of the Grid IQ Experience Center in Atlanta is planned for after the conference. We will organise transportation to and from the Grid IQ Experience Center (as it is about 18 miles away) on February 27th.
Please follow the link to learn more about the tour.
Also a technical tour of the Laboratory at Georgia Tech in Atlanta is planned subsequent to the Grid IQ Experience Center.
The tour will begin at 1PM and we will return to the Metro Atlanta Chamber around 5.30PM.
The 2013 PV Rollout Conference
After a very successful 2012 conference, the 3rd PV Rollout Conference will take place on February 26th/ 27th, 2013 at the Metro Atlanta Chamber in Atlanta, GA, USA.
In Cooperation with GACC South for the first time!
PV Rollout will examine the technical, economic and political hurdles to rapid and widespread PV deployment. Political and commercial perspectives will be considered and the conference will pay special attention to the often under-examined link between upstream product development / process innovation and downstream system installation costs.
PV Rollout will feature insight from industry leaders who are producing new PV products, researchers developing new PV concepts and the developers and system integrators who implement these concepts to introduce new innovations to the PV market.
Conference panels will address the key areas of development needed for wide scale deployment, including PV markets, module technology, inverters, grid integration, financing and risk management, and PV power plants. In doing so, the conference will provide participants with strategies and know-how to overcome obstacles and develop profitable products and projects.
Learn about link between upstream product development / process innovation and downstream system installation costs.
Obtain strategies and know-how to overcome obstacles and develop profitable products and projects.

Welcome to the website of our PV Rollout Conference!
The PV Rollout Conference offers a unique opportunity to learn and interact with the leading experts in the industry and become an authority in the field of solar energy! This event in Atlanta guarantees to be a great start or step forward for your company in the explosively growing photovoltaic’s industry. This two day, bi-national conference seeks to combine European experiences and US market opportunities with rapid and widespread PV deployment. Our goal is to examine technical, economic and political hurdles by discussing, analyzing, learning, and networking.
Thank you for a successful 2012 Conference!
Our success was due to the excellent speakers and 70 participants from 7 nations
We would like to thank the advisory council, all presenters, sponsors, supporting organisations and helping hands for investing the best efforts in our conference!
Special thanks to our chairman Prof. Eicke Weber and co-chairman Juris Kalejs for their excellent cooperation and help.
Finally we would like to thank all other participants for coming to Boston!
The 3rd European American Solar Deployment Conference PV Rollout is scheduled for February 26th and 27th, 2013. See you next year!
